Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my information stored?
Athlete Ready stores its primary information locally on your device. Athlete Ready does not require an online account and does not automatically upload your athlete information to a developer-operated server.
Your device or operating-system backup settings may separately include app information in a device backup.
References in the app to your Athlete Ready “account” generally refer to the locally stored athlete profile and records on your device—not to an online account maintained on our servers.
How do I complete a daily check-in?
Select Today’s Check-In or open Athlete Check-In from the Athlete Ready home screen.
The primary daily check-in includes:
-
Readiness
-
Wellness
-
Sleep
After completing sleep, you may continue to the optional Daily Reflection.
Training load, hydration, fitness testing, and reflection information are optional and do not prevent the primary daily check-in from being marked complete.
What is the Daily Reflection?
Daily Reflection provides an optional space to identify influences affecting you and respond to one reflection prompt.
You may:
-
Select one or more influence tags
-
Indicate that there is no specific influence
-
Swipe between available reflection prompts
-
Complete one prompt per day
-
Leave the written response blank
-
Decide whether to share the written reflection with your coach
Influence information can be used to summarize patterns over time. Written reflections remain private unless you choose to include them when sharing with a coach.
What does “Share this reflection with my coach” mean?
When sharing is off, the written reflection is excluded from a Coach Ready transfer.
Your Ready Score and other approved performance information can still be shared without including the private written response.
Influence information and written reflections should be shared only when you are comfortable doing so.
How are reflection trends calculated?
Reflection trends use days on which influence information was answered. A written response without influence information does not count toward the influence-frequency denominator.
Depending on the selected timeframe, Athlete Ready may display:
-
Top reported influences
-
Reflection coverage
-
First-half versus second-half trajectory
-
Average Ready Scores associated with an influence
-
Ready Score differences between days with and without an influence
These are observed associations and do not establish that an influence caused a change in performance, wellness, sleep, or recovery.
Some insights require enough completed reflections or enough information in each half of the selected timeframe.
What are Check-In Badges?
Check-In Badges recognize consistent use of the daily check-in.
The badge page may show:
-
Your current badge
-
Total completed check-ins
-
Current check-in streak
-
Longest check-in streak
-
Progress toward the next badge
Early badges recognize consecutive-day streaks. Later badges recognize total completed check-ins.
Badges are intended as encouragement and do not represent medical, fitness, or performance certification.
What happens if I miss a day?
Your current consecutive-day streak may end, but previously earned badges and your total completed check-ins remain available.
You can continue progressing toward total check-in milestones when you resume using the app.
How do I create a complete backup?
Open Athlete Ready and go to:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Create Complete Backup
Choose a secure location for the backup file.
A complete backup may contain:
-
Athlete profile information
-
Readiness, wellness, and sleep records
-
Training and workload records
-
Hydration records
-
Daily reflections
-
Fitness tests and baselines
-
Custom fitness metrics
-
Other Athlete Ready history
Backup files may contain sensitive personal, wellness, and performance information. Store them securely and do not share them with anyone you do not trust.
How do I restore a backup?
Open Athlete Ready and go to:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Restore From Backup
Select a valid Athlete Ready backup and carefully review the confirmation message before proceeding.
Restore is designed to add missing history without automatically overwriting existing records with matching identifiers.
We recommend creating a current backup before restoring another backup.
What is the difference between a backup and an athlete transfer?
A complete backup is designed to protect and restore your Athlete Ready profile and history.
An athlete transfer is designed to move or share compatible athlete information between Athlete Ready and Coach Ready.
Use:
-
Create Complete Backup to protect your Athlete Ready information
-
Share With Coach to send approved information to a coach
-
Import Athlete Profile to receive a compatible athlete profile and history
A transfer should not be treated as a replacement for maintaining a current backup.
How do I import an athlete profile?
Open:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Import Athlete Profile
Select a compatible transfer file created by Coach Ready or Athlete Ready.
Athlete Ready validates the file and displays a preview before importing it. Depending on your existing profile, you may be asked whether to use the incoming profile information or keep your current profile information.
Review the athlete’s name and other available details carefully. Do not combine records when the transfer belongs to a different athlete.
Can I use Import Athlete Profile when moving between devices?
Yes. A compatible Athlete Ready transfer can be used to move an athlete profile and missing history between devices.
For complete protection of all Athlete Ready information, maintain a separate complete backup as well.
What if the imported athlete has a different name?
Athlete Ready should warn you when the incoming profile name does not match the current Athlete Ready profile.
Review the information carefully. Only continue if the records belong to the same athlete.
If the transfer belongs to someone else, cancel the import. Do not merge the records.
Will importing a profile overwrite my existing history?
The import process is designed to add missing records and avoid automatically replacing existing records with matching identifiers.
You may be asked whether to keep your existing profile name or use the incoming profile information.
Always review the import preview and confirmation information before continuing.
How do I share information with my coach?
Open:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Share With Coach
Review the transfer contents, confirm the transfer, and select an available sharing method such as AirDrop, Messages, email, Files, or another option in the iOS Share menu.
Athlete Ready does not automatically send information to a coach. You control when the transfer file is created, how it is shared, and who receives it.
What information may be included in a coach transfer?
Depending on the information available in Athlete Ready, a transfer may include:
-
Athlete profile information
-
Readiness entries
-
Wellness questionnaire entries
-
Sleep entries
-
Training sessions and workload information
-
Fitness-testing results
-
Custom fitness metrics
-
Fitness baselines
-
Influence information
-
Written reflections approved for sharing
Transfer files may contain sensitive personal, wellness, and performance information. Only share them with a coach or organization you trust.
Why can’t my coach open the transfer file?
Ask the coach to confirm that:
-
Coach Ready is installed and updated
-
The entire transfer file was downloaded
-
The iOS Share menu is being used to open or share the file with Coach Ready
-
The file was not renamed, edited, or converted
If Messages does not open the attachment directly, open its preview, tap the Share button, and select Coach Ready.
The transfer can also be saved to Files and imported from Coach Ready’s Workspace Settings.
Will sharing with Coach Ready remove my Athlete Ready information?
No. Sharing creates a copy of the available information for transfer. It does not intentionally remove the original records from Athlete Ready.
Deleting the transfer file after it has been successfully received does not delete the original information stored in Athlete Ready.
What happens after a coach imports my information?
The receiving coach may:
-
Review and store the shared information
-
Associate it with an existing athlete
-
Add the athlete to a Coach Ready team
-
Use shared records in athlete or team dashboards and trends
-
Recognize future transfers through a persistent athlete identifier
Information already received by a coach must generally be deleted from that coach’s device by the coach or organization.
Deleting information from Athlete Ready does not automatically delete copies previously shared with another person.
How do I export my data?
Open:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Export Data
Athlete Ready creates a spreadsheet containing available history.
You control where the file is stored and who receives it. Review the spreadsheet before sharing because it may contain personal and performance information.
How do I share my dashboard?
Open:
Settings → Data & Sharing → Share Dashboard
Athlete Ready creates a full-length image of the dashboard and displays the iOS Share menu.
Dashboard images may contain readiness, wellness, sleep, workload, fitness, and reflection information. Share them only with appropriate recipients.
Dashboard sharing may require Athlete Ready Pro.
How do I explore the app with demo data?
Open:
Settings → Explore Athlete Ready → Load 60 Days of Demo Data
Demo data provides fictional information so you can explore dashboards, trends, reflections, workload, badges, and fitness features.
Demo data is added only where applicable dates are available and is tracked separately from information you enter.
How do I remove demo data?
Go to:
Settings → Explore Athlete Ready → Remove Demo Data
Removing demo data is designed to delete only records created by the demo-data feature while leaving separately entered information intact.
Creating a backup before making significant changes is always recommended.
Why is a dashboard or trend missing information?
Athlete Ready calculates dashboards and trends using available records.
A date or timeframe may appear incomplete when:
-
One or more check-in sections were not completed
-
Optional information was not entered
-
Too few records exist for the selected trend period
-
A baseline has not been established
-
A feature requires Athlete Ready Pro
Confirm that the correct date and timeframe are selected and that the relevant information was saved.
Why is my Ready Score different on some days?
The Ready Score uses available readiness, wellness, sleep, and workload information.
Missing components may be omitted and the remaining components reweighted. Differences can therefore reflect changes in entered information as well as changes in performance or recovery data.
How do I add or correct a fitness result?
Open Baseline Fitness, select the appropriate metric, and review its history.
Use the available controls to add, edit, or remove a test result.
Custom metrics can be created for tests that are not included in the standard metric list when that feature is available.
Why hasn’t a fitness baseline appeared?
A fitness baseline generally requires enough recorded results for that metric.
After the required number of results is available, Athlete Ready can calculate the average and typical variation. The baseline remains fixed until you intentionally establish a new one.
Some baseline analysis features may require Athlete Ready Pro.
What is Athlete Ready Pro?
Athlete Ready Pro provides access to eligible advanced features, which may include:
-
Advanced trends
-
Reflection insights
-
Fitness analysis
-
Workload insights
-
Dashboard sharing
-
Additional performance-analysis features
The current features and access status are displayed on the Athlete Ready Pro page.
Athlete Ready Pro is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase. It is not an automatically renewing subscription.
Is there an automatic charge when free access ends?
No. The free-access period does not automatically convert into a paid subscription.
When free access ends, eligible Pro features become restricted unless you have Founding Pro access or purchase Lifetime Pro through Apple.
How do I restore Athlete Ready Pro?
Open:
Settings → Athlete Ready Pro → Restore Purchases
Use the same Apple ID that originally purchased Athlete Ready Pro.
Restoring a purchase does not restore locally deleted athlete information. Your athlete profile and history must be restored from a separately created Athlete Ready backup.
Why are Athlete Ready Pro options unavailable?
Confirm that:
-
The device has an active internet connection
-
You are signed in to the App Store
-
In-App Purchases are permitted on the device
-
Athlete Ready is updated
-
Apple’s purchase services are available
Then open the Athlete Ready Pro page and select Try Again.
If the purchase was previously completed, select Restore Purchases.
What happens if I delete Athlete Ready?
Deleting the app may also delete information stored locally by Athlete Ready.
Create a complete backup before deleting or reinstalling the app if you want to preserve your information.
Files previously saved to Files, Messages, email, cloud storage, or another location must be managed separately.
Your Apple purchase history is not deleted when the app is removed and a verified Lifetime Pro purchase may be restored through Apple.
How do I permanently delete my Athlete Ready information?
Open:
Settings → Account & Data → Delete Athlete Ready Account & Data
Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.
This deletes locally stored:
-
Athlete profile information
-
Check-ins
-
Readiness and wellness records
-
Sleep information
-
Training and workload history
-
Hydration records
-
Daily reflections
-
Fitness tests
-
Custom metrics
-
Fitness baselines
-
Reminder schedules
-
Local transfer identity
This action cannot be undone unless the information exists in a separate backup.
Previously exported or shared files must be deleted separately. Apple purchase history is managed by Apple and Lifetime Pro may remain restorable.
Can Next Level Sports Medicine recover locally deleted information?
Generally, no.
Athlete Ready does not currently maintain a developer-operated database containing your Athlete Ready profile or performance history. We therefore generally cannot recover information deleted from your device.
A separately created Athlete Ready backup may be used to restore missing information.
